In ode to the first method actor in the world of cinema - Dilip Kumar saab.

Benchmarking, typecasting, breaking stereotypes and coming out of comfort zone, etc. were words and expressions that I learnt much later when I joined the corporate training industry.

But I learnt of their essence in the method acting of this great actor who passed away today after a lifetime of memorable roles that were breathed alive by his investment of commitment, time, thought and energy.

Someone who was known as the king of tragedies then went onto become the king of the other end of the spectrum - comedies with all other characters, shades and moods in between.

In ode to the world's first method actor and one of my favourite role models when it comes to excellence, breaking patterns and benchmarking; someone who inspired me to think of developing versatility in acting, the roles you choose as well as in the way in which you deliver your own work, even training.

Will remember you forever, Muhammad Yusuf Khan aka Dilip saab, with veneration and gratitude for the inspirational legacy you leave behind.
