Strengths based cricket
Of course what a match it was on Saturday night!!
But there is small part of it with a big significance that I want to highlight here.
It’s best articulated in this article in today’s Hindustan Times by Vivek Krishnan.
As I read through it, I realised that it essentially talks about something that I so passionately and purposefully talk about and work with my clients about - Strengths-based-partnerships based on the principles elucidated by the Father of Strengths Psychology Dr. Donald Clifton.
We all talk about the importance of coaching; but the game and impact goes to a much higher orbit and dimension when we integrate a strengths based approach into coaching - whether it is about coaching an individual or a team or manager or a leader.
And when you hear what the legendary ambassador of this game Rahul Dravid talks about Virat Kohli in the interaction he had with Rajdeep Sardesai a few years ago and about Vinod Kambli, you realise that you are in the presence of someone who naturally understands the strengths psychology.
I have seen this so clearly in my strengths based work and coaching with teams and leaders that it’s always an amazing experience of limitless possibilities and I am always excited like a child in a candy shop.
So, what will make you want to discover your strengths in a scientific way and apply them consciously and purposefully?
